█ Course

The academic and professional development activities will initially be directed to meet postgraduate educational needs of qualified international students who seek advanced design education that prepares them for professional design opportunities. The curriculum consists of four required courses, eight elective courses. In addition, a thesis of 6 credits is mandatory.

█ Curriculum

Note:

Minimum course credits for the Master's degree are 33, including 12 required and 21 selective course credits. In addition, a thesis of 6 credits is mandatory.
Students take professional elective courses from this department to obtain at least 18 elective course credits.
Course credits obtained outside the department may be counted only if they are approved by his/her advisor and the department chair. The credits are recognized as the master program elective credits of VCD department and the maximum is 3 credits.
Each graduate student must publish at least a paper submitted to a refereed conference or journal before applying for the oral defense of the thesis.
Chinese course could be waived if international students who pass the "Basic Level" of the Chinese Proficiency Test (TOP or HSK).
